Hmmm... what about Ajmal Shazhad to feature instead of Monty?

As for the Lions batsman, would the likes of Denly, Gale, Hales, Adams, Nash etc. be alright as the added bonus? Would love to offer Hildreth or Taylor but there's a real possibility of them being a part of the final 14 and I don't want to be under-staffed in the batting department.

Shazhad + Bopara + extra Lions batsman of your choice = Shakib.

Fairly sure that would be really quite helpful to Bangladesh in real life.

Interested in Vettori and Adams individually, but not together. Getting Vettori would defeat the point of me going for Adams (ie. to attempt to get a decent trade together for Shakib). Also, I don't fancy getting rid of Katich, tbh.

I am not wired on Bairstow (seems like he needs some more FC expereince) like I was Davies but I will consider both Bairstow and Kieswetter together. Neither of whom should make your 14.

As pieces of the jigsaw puzzle who would get a game for Bangers - the major thing they are missing is seam bowling. So I can offer:

Neil Wagner * he is a SA player trying to qualify here so technically he isn't mine until the end of the season but he lives here. He has been tearing up the NZ domestic season on an inconsistent basis - and took 5 wickets in an over last year.
