Well the second best batsman in history died a few years back so there's really no one to give a pleasant send off to.

You are hallucinating. Crowds in England gave better send offs than this. Should be an ashes thing, the team with the ashes in the trophy cabinet at that time = better hosts.:ph34r:

Ashes teams are always better hosts, and certainly better guests, than others :)
