A bowling lineup of part time bowlers.

karan316

State Vice-Captain
If you are to select a bowling lineup of 5 bowlers, who are all part timers(but can be effective), whom would you pick?

My bowling lineup would be

Steve Waugh,

Sourav Ganguly,

Ravi Bopara,

Mohammad Hafeez,

Yuvraj Singh.

Try and make a good combination of pace bowlers and spinners.

My 5

Bill Edrich Right arm fast
Mudassar Nazar Right arm medium
Asif Iqbal Right arm medium

Alan Border Orthodox slow left arm

Ken Mackay

Doug Walters

Frank Worrell

Tom Graveney

Basil D'Olivera

And now most of you are heading for the stats because ther is a few there you have not heard of.

Graham Gooch
Mark Butcher (open with these two for double swing)
Graeme Hick

And when you're really struggling, turn to Ian Salisbury or Derek Pringle.

Can't understand why there aren't many left arm part time medium pacers.
Just aren't that many left arm pacers in general, relatively speaking.

Can only think of Brendan Nash in recent years. A quick Cricinfo search also digs up Graham Yallop, Neil Fairbrother, Bill Lawry and Lawrence Rowe.

Mudassar Nazar was a touch more than a part-timer wasn't he? Didn't he open on ocassions?
