Don't worry mate, some bloke from Cricinfo will read it and claim it as his own on their site.

Whatever it takes!!!
Pretty good list. However, from memory, Brian Lara was dropped in the outfield. A easy miss that probably cost Australia the match. Botham on the other hand played some streaky shots but didn't give a clear cut chance until he was out and the damage was done.
which knock? I am pretty sure he was never dropped in the outfield in either innings in that 1999 series..

Overall, the list is fine IMO. But Botham's innings should surely have been after Gooch's and Laxman's at least.

Check the latest update. It is after Gooch.

Laxman, though, well...

The fact that Botham scored all his runs with the tail makes it even more miracolous, for mine.

Botham had also lost the captaincy, and made a 'pair' in the previous test match at Lords. To then take on Lillee, Lawson and Alderman on an atrocious pitch was therefore inspirational and something extra special.

Both Gooch and Laxman were in excellent form and batting on flat tracks in comparison.

Interesting to see where Warner ends up on this list assuming India collapse pretty quickly tomorrow. The quality of batsmen in this test included three of the very best with Ponting, Dravid, Tendulkar plus Sehwag, Hussey, Clarke, and Laxman.

One innings scoring half the team's runs despite being 4th man out at waay over a run a ball, and his individual score higher than both of the oppositions innings? Yeah.
