It's only India that Warne has failed against. He's got a great record against Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

I'd go with a specialist keeper instead of Sanga. He's much better with the bat anyway. Drop Kumble and pick Dhoni instead.

To be honest the other team would be stronger I feel and it would be difficult for many of the Asian players to break into this team. Tendulkar would be in at the expense of Lara and Murali might be able to push Warne out, but even that is a 50/50 shot, especially if Warne's batsmanship is taken into account.
dhoni is a poor advert for a specialist keeper. if has to be a specialist, get kirmani or bari or engineer.

regarding the asian players breaking into the world team, khan would be able to push out hadlee, especially if his batting is taken into account. and, arguably, gavaskar.

Warne really only got better against Pakistan when the likes of Salim Malik and Javed Miandad were not in the team. IIRC Salim Malik was one of the earliest players to play Shane Warne really well. Pak used to be very good players of spin until the mid 90s. The 00s Pak team was terrible against all opposition let alone against Warne.

I don't see Warne troubling Miandad (arguably the finest player of spin bowling) or the Indian batting line up too much. Which would be what an Asian batting line-up would mostly comprise of.

yeah but even an Asian tail would probably be more adept at playing spin rather than pace....lol you do have a point there
