if they plan to play smith as they always play him eg pretty much the exact opposite way he should be played then yeah i support marsh. smith isn't a big hitter and if he's not gonna get bowled...
Indians can't bowl - Where has the rumour come from as I myself and many indian friends arwe competent fast bowlers ?

With the English bid I said: Let us be brief. If you give back the Falkland Islands, which belong to us, you will get my vote. They then became sad and left

Agree that MMarsh has noting but potential on his side, but I think if Watson's injury really messes up Clarke's bowling plans then he might need Mitch's seam ups to fill in, considering it's a short-term solution anyway with Watson. Makes sense to me.

yeah that's the big counter-argument. i don't think you can really make a strong case for marsh on merit alone.

Warner, Ponting, Clarke, Hussey, Smith, Haddin, M.Marsh, Johnson, Doherty, Bollinger, Cummins, Pattinson (12)
So Watson injured. SMarsh too, I assume.

To say that batting looks thin is an alarming understatement. Gonna need quite a few runs from the big three...

2 new balls? I assumed that was just a domestic thing. not a fan of such a fundamental change. Double the length of time of new ball.

Lol. Sky's coverage opens with the obligatory mention of Edgbaston in 99.

No Tahir for SA. Interesting. Gah, Colville says the Saffers are going with one spinner. Not like Du Plessis or Duminy bowl slow, is it?
