IMHO, yes he is, and should be playing for the Windies. I can't figure why he's being ignored by the selectors. The only conclusion I can come to is that they don't want to have too many representatives from one country on the team.

If the Windies selectors stopped playing politics, they would admit that the best West Indies 20/20 side will have a majority of Trinidadians on it. If they ever resolve the disciplinary issues with Gayle and Benn, these would be my first and second XIs:

First XI
1) Chris Gayle
2) Adrian Barath
3) Lendl Simmons
4) Darren Bravo
5) Dwayne Bravo
6) Kieron Pollard
7) Denesh Ramdin
8) Andre Russell
9) Ravi Rampaul
10) Dev Bishoo
11) Samuel Badree (why is he ignored by WI selectors?)

Second XI
1) Danza Hyatt
2) Johnson Charles
3) Andre Fletcher
4) Marlon Samuels
5) Dwayne Smith
6) Chris Barnwell
7) Darren Sammy
8) Sherwin Ganga
9) Kemar Roach/Fidel Edwards
10) Suleimann Benn
11) Sunil Narine

In effect, the first Xi are currently in India, and most of the players in England now are second XI 20/20 players...

yo Aus fags, let's play pick the NSW team:

The Squad:

Simon Katich (c)
Stuart Clark
Patrick Cummins
Nathan Hauritz
Josh Hazlewood
Moises Henriques
Phillip Hughes
Nic Maddinson
Stephen O'Keefe
Ben Rohrer
Daniel Smith
Steven Smith
Mitchell Starc
David Warner
Shane Watson

Warner
Hughes
Watson (could switch Hughes around. small thing)
Katich (C...and now it gets hard)
Rohrer (sorry Maddinson. me luv u long time)
D. Smith +
S. Smith (do we just play one of Smith/O'Keefe?)
Hauritz (first spinner picked you'd think. under-rated t20 record)
Clark
Cummins
Starc

Squeeze out Starc for O'Keefe if you pick 3 spinners. With Watson there Moises isn't much use unless we don't want to play both of Smith and SOK.. Haze/Starc 50/50. Spinners...who knows what we'll do. Give Hughes the gloves? (wildcard bitches)

Have to play SSmith, surely. Not far from first name on the teamsheet as far as T20 is concerned.

depends on whether Katich will actually bowl him tbh. he did last time 'round

Here's the 2009 final btw: Final: New South Wales v Trinidad & Tobago at Hyderabad (Deccan), Oct 23, 2009 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

so Henriques for Watson, Starc and Cummins for Lee and Dougeh (both at their own teams)

Leics making a fine effort in this chase. If they win easily, then they can still go through if Kolkata v Somerset is a sufficient hammering. And apparently if they get there in 13.2 overs (need 100 in 7.5 overs) they're definitely through.

And as soon as I post the chase gets ****ed up. Absolute best they can hope for is around 16 overs, but even to do that they'll have to start playing the spinners a lot, lot better.
