Who do you think is currently the most intelligent cricketer or the most intelligent cricketer of all time.
At the moment I think Sanga is one of the more intelligent cricketers around.

I didn't know cricketers were asked to take IQ tests to test their intelligence
And smalishah's avatar is the most classy one by far Jan certainly echoes the sentiments of CW
Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta
Realistically it's probably this chap as he's the sole first-class cricketer to be a Nobel laureate.
Cricket Web's current Premier League Tipping Champion

At the moment :-
Dhoni as a captain - His moves are genius.
Swann as a Bowler - Has brains.
Jayawaredene as a Batsmen - Cool customer.

Cant really say about cricket intelligence - if thats what the OP means - but generally Id say Imran Khan is a very intelligent and refined guy.
I'm 99% sure Samuel would've been strictly amateur. Back in the day other universities' games against the counties had FC status beside Cambridge & Oxford's.
What is interesting is that by the time Beckett played Ireland was independent and yet cricket still had enough of a following for Dublin University to be given games against the counties. I only say this because the Gaelic Athletic Association isn't known for its welcoming attitude to quote-unquote "English" sports. Croke Park, the beating heart of the GAA, didn't open its gates to rugby until 2006.
Mike Brearley is a man with a huge intellect, as indeed is our very own zaremba
I'd say Shane Warne had the highest 'cricket IQ'. Off the field another matter obv
Murali a possibility too. Both used tactical planning more than anyone else I'd guess
Batsman I tolerate: V. Richards, S. Tendulkar, E. Morgan, N. Hussain. KEVIN O F******* BRIEN
Hasn't Murali recently said that he's no good at captaincy? Can't remember where I heard that though.
I got a new heart, got a new heart, got a new artificial heart
Asif was an intelligent cricketer, but we all know how stupid he has been off the field.
