1st ODI vs India
Playing XI: Heads, Narang, Dharan, Ballich, Spark, Ikram, Winne, Hing, Capone, Dean, Phlegm
CW won the toss and chose to bat on a slow pitch. The top order started solidly but got bogged down against the Indian spinners, keeping the run rate to under four for long parts of the game. Heads was lbw off Harbhajan for 22 and Dharan fell to Kumble for 20, both scored at a strike rate of under 50. When Ballich then fell to 2 from 4 balls it was left to the middle order to see them to a competitive score, CW stumbling to 106/3 in the 30th over.
Narang had remained patient, and with Spark then laid a careful base but made sure to keep the score moving. The pair put on 73 for the fourth wicket in 12 overs before Narang was out bowled for 75 of 112, leaving the home side on 179/4 after 42.
Spark went on to play the innings needed to lift CW to a healthy score, scoring 78* off 60, including two huge straight sixes. Ikram and Winne perished in the pursuit of quick runs, but Hing stuck around until the final ball, contributing 13 off 10 balls.

Defending a chaseable target, early wickets were needed and Phlegm produced a new-ball spell of 6-2-18-2, dismissing both Sehwag and Gambhir for single figures and leave India reeling at 36-2 in the 14th over.
Spinners Dean and Hing were then brought into the attack but did not offer the control of their Indian counterparts. Tendulkar and Kambli soon settled in and their century partnership brought India back into the match, at 150/2 in the 33rd over.
Capone returned and bowled Tendulkar for 83, and then had Laxman caught behind for a first ball duck. Sadly it proved not to be enough as Kambli continued on with Deshpande to add 61 in 10 overs to put the match firmly into India's hands. At this point the tourists needed just 15 from 5 overs with six wickets in hand.
Impressive death bowling from Phlegm and Capone gave India a scare - Phlegm picking up both set batsmen (Kambli for 89 off 112, and Deshpande for 35 off 28) and between the two bowled an impressive maiden for the 46th over. Capone then claimed Kumble lbw for a duck, but Harbhajan kept his cool to get his team over the line.

2nd ODI - CW vs West Indies
CW kept an unchanged side going into the second match. They lost the toss and were asked to field on a batsman's wicket.
The West Indies started slowly, Gayle claiming all 18 runs of an opening partnership, before Wavell Hinds edged Winne's third ball to slip to end a 23-ball duck. Phlegm struck the following over to remove Gayle in the same way, and when Winne bowled Lara with a yorker for 27, the Windies were up against it.
After a recovery of sorts for the fourth wicket, Hing dismissed both Sarwan and Chanderpaul during a spell of 3-33 in his 10, capped off with the dismissal of Jacobs in his final over. Ikram contributed six tight overs for just 21 and by this stage Lara's team had slipped to 156/6 after 37 overs. They did manage to raise a competitive score thanks to Bravo (21 off 27) and Ryan Hinds (33* off 46) as CW's death bowling proved less effective than before.
West Indies 219-8 - Chanderpaul 37, Hing 3-33, Winne 2-34
The CWers' reply started positively, racing to 34 in the 5th over before Narang was out lbw for a run-a-ball 20. The home side soon took control of the match as Heads (79 off 73) and Dharan (74*) built an attacking century partnership for the second wicket, adding 114 in 19 overs.
Ballich (46*) joined Dharan at the crease with CW needing 72 from 25 overs and the pair were able to ease their side to an 8-wicket win.
