Congrats Laxman for scoring 8000 runs.

22nd bstsman to do this. 10 years from now people will use cricinfo statsguru and show what a overrated batsman he was. There are few if any who are more calm during crisis than him. Hope he finishes with an average of 50+.

Well deserved. Legend. At 36 and 2/3 years, he's younger than Tendulkar and Dravid so I hope he can hang on for at least a couple more years. His form is still excellent.

Soon as India was in bit of trouble you knew Laxman was going to score

Congrats for reaching 8000 runs.... hope he continues to play for few more years.

Agree with all 3 posts above this. Laxman WAG!! Legend.. And played the most important part along with Harbhajan in India's cricketing turnaround at Eden Gardens in 2001.. Has been as important as Sachin or Dravid or Kumble in India becoming #1,, Hope he can keep this up.
