lords is the best english test ground for me though i found the oval with its gasworks background to be more evocative of cricket in england.
but i prefer the scg, adelaide, newlands and galle as charming grounds for watching the game. and the eden gardens, mcg and bridgetown (in its heydey) for real atmosphere.

Headingley has the best atmosphere IMO

Yes and no.

Love the atmosphere at Headingley but there is something very special about the murmur of the fans you get at Lords.

I've been there. It is slightly over rated if you aren't right into the history of the game, I imagine. Having said that, I thought it was fascinating and loved it.

Question four interests me. Look forward to catching up with certain cretinous bufoons on here.

I'm going to answer "yes" to question 4, because you keep clogging my Twitter feed by retweeting ******** Aussie politicians.

one of the reason mentioned for this is that, Lord's will be hosting the Olympic archery event at the same time

Well that's fair enough then, most of the members won't notice the difference anyway.

India and Australia would play as much I'd reckon, at least the last few years.

Mind you, the absurd Ashes scheduling coming up means Aus-Filth will be playing a lot coming up though.

Yea it was fantastic because of the prestige and history associated with it, but purely as a ground (from a spectators pov), it didn't seem all that great - most of the stadiums in the US seem a lot more spectator friendly in terms of comfort and amenities (I haven't been to any other cricket stadiums in places like uk or Australia so I can't compare it to other cricket stadiums).
