Thought it would be nice to chat about the astonishing completely out-of-character innings that you have seen in cricket. The kind that make your jaw drop and wish you hadn't quite ended the night with the absinthe tequila concoction that your mate swore was just un****ing believable.....

Absolute shocker of a decision to get him out, too. It's interesting how much field settings have changed since then. The boundary that took him to his century came through point off Stuart MacGill- there's absolutely no chance of a modern captain leaving deep point open to a batsman on 96* off 69.

Dunno how out of character that really was - whilst Chanderpaul is a nuggety little bastard at the best of times one of the things I love about him is they way he randomly seems to just lose his temper and decide to destroy bowling.
