India's Upcoming Batsman - How do you rate them?

Currently India seems to have a number of really promising up and coming batsman ,some of whom are already playing for the national team and some of whom are burning up domestic competitions with really big numbers.

Wanted to know what the general opinion is of these batsman in each of the three formats and how would you rate their chances 5 years down the line ,when the likes of Sachin,Laxman,Dravid,Sehwag have gone?

In no order -

* Subramaniam Badrinath

* Cheteshwar Pujara

* Virat Kohli

* Rohit Sharma

* Suresh Raina

* Saurabh Tiwary

* Murali Vijay

* Ajinkya Rahane

* Abhinav Mukund

* Manish Pandey

* Manoj Tiwary

*Ambati Rayudu

Can include the likes of Shikhar Dhawan , Robin Uthappa ,Yusuf Pathan etc... too if you want too.
Also even younger batsman like Unmukt Chand,Amit Verma,Mandeep Singh,Mayank Aggarwal etc...

How do you see there careers panning out in 5 years time and how would you rate them in each of the formats as future potential ?(Tests,ODI's and T20'S)
And how would the Indian batting order look in each keeping that in mind in 5 years?

Kohli will be among the top 3 batsman of this decade can also see Pujara having a very successful career even though his start has been average but he has all the tools to succeed I feel.

Raina and Rohit are bit overrated imo I see them max out to Yuvraj levals. Badrinath looked very mediocre during his test debut maybe i am being a bit harsh since he got caught up in a hot Steyn spell on a couple of occasions his FC record is outstanding.Not seen much of others, seen a bit of Pandey couple of years back looked pretty ordinary but its just for a couple of short innings.

My ratings:
Kohli
Pujara
Rohit
Raina
Badrinath

Not suggesting he should be in contention, but who was that bloke who got caught up in the middle of a Steyn wonder spell at Ahmedebad, I think it was? Made a duck, IIRC. W-something.

Do you mean W Saha at Nagpur? Don't get why he was playing there, as a keeper who didn't keep wicket.

(Also, love how many times Steyn has trashed India. What a ****ing bowler.)

Saha played there because he was the reserve keeper and 2 of the Indian batsman managed to injure themselves one a day before the game, and one on the morning of the game.
And there were no other batsman in the squad or time to call replacements.

Don't see him as a regular reserve keeper even,let alone a Specialist batsman.

Oops.

Perhaps exaggerated there. Corrected the language now.

He was the reserve keeper for the SA series ,so is the incumbent.
But think Parthiv Patel and Naman Ojha would sneak ahead of him and shreevats goswami too perhaps.
Dinesh Karthik was ahead of him but his keeping became dodgy overtime.

Will Badrinath ever be given another chance? At 30 years of age, and with so many other talented young batsmen in India, perhaps his time has passed. It is a shame that his career coincided with the greatest generation of batsmen in India's history. Judging by his first class statistics he could have forged a fantastic international career.

Still it will be hard to ignore him if he keeps putting up big numbers like the previous Ranji trophy season.

I think this summer's series against England will give us the answer to this. Especially if we have an overcast summer with a few green tops around. Was pretty impressed with Pujara's temprament during the SAF tests not too sure how Kholi will cope with a moving ball although in the sub continent he could be a gun test cricketer.
