Feel sad for Kallis

blahblahblah

International 12th Man
One of the greatest all rounders to have ever played the game, sad that he has to go without single wc to his name :(

AWTA.

But he will always be remembered more for his amazing Test exploits. Still a fabulous allrounder and servant of SA cricket.

Born in the wrong era. SA certainly had a side good enough to win it during his career.

Never been a huge fan of his,but for me one moment in this world cup give birth to an incredible amount of respect for the man - The ball he edged to the slips and relied on the fielder's word as to whether it was taken cleanly or not.Pure class.

Joins Donald and Pollock amongst cricketing ATGs produced by South Africa who could never win the ultimate prize.

It doesn't matter if he got a WC under his belt or not, only what he contributed to cricket will be remembered.

Dravid, Ganguly never did either and even Sachin still hasn't. Could list about a dozen or so English players too.

I like Kallis but that more to save the review for later.

Lara, Ambrose, Tendulkar, Donald, Pollock - many of those great cricketers that never won it. Blame it on Australia for not letting anyone else lay their hand on it.

In contrast most of great cricketers of 80's had at least one world cup victory. All of the great WIndies, Gavaskar, Kapil, Border, Imran etct. Only Hadlee and Botham missed out.

EDIT: Marshall never won one either!

Nor did Waqar nor Saeed Anwar. According to Waqar it was his greatest cricketing career regret to have not been part of the 92 WC squad. Sangakkara and Jayawardena have note won it yet either

Have you seen Kallis GF? You can't feel sorry for the bloke. You can blame him for the defeats against England and NZ mind.

Must say, he looked out of sorts (physically) against NZ - wondered if he was "coming down with something" at the time.
