That was a very ordinary shot, Sachin. :@

His form has gone away a bit recently. His team keeps winning without his contribution anyway, though.

Sachin does not hang about though ,if he is not scoring quickly and knows when to get out if need be if he is not able to accelerate, unlike some other batsman.

Poor shot , but his intention was right.
Seemed uncomfortable against Irfan from the start.

With the batting mumbai have after him and the start they got ,it was no use of him hanging about.

He tried to paddle sweep and failed the previous two balls and then attmpted this shot.
Clearly he was struggling ,so unlike Hussey earlier today and Kallis in the game a few days ago ,it was better for him to attempt to hit out in the powerplay.

Even Sachin was a bit guilty of hanging a bit slowly in one of the previous matches, though mumbai won.
But mostly he judges these things better than others.

no.. he is not trying to get out AFAIC but he has the cushion to attempt shots because of the amazing depth of his batting lineup.

Mind you, I agree with you about Hussey, though God alone knows why Saha is playing and Mukund is not.. :)

Obviously he wasn't trying to get out,but he wasn't attempting to play out that spell either.

And To be fair to Chennai, Mukund would have no use at number 7.
He is not a power hitter exactly and at number 7 it is better if you have someone who comes in and can hit big shots straight away.

He should be either opening instead of Vijay or cannot see a place for him in that team.
Mind you as i have said before a few times he was stupid to remain in Chennai this season .Several teams where he would walk straight in at one of the top positions.

There is likely to be a spot vacant for a opener in the Indian team both in tests and ODI's against the west indies with Sehwag out with surgery probably and Gambhir's usual fitness issues in long series.

Game over in 3 overs. The anticipation when Malinga came in to bowl was amazing and the roar when he got the wicket was the loudest I have ever heard in a stadium.
