The end of the article gives an explanation for his omission. Have heard of him - that he is pretty quick and already in the NSW senior side.

This article reminded me of a Peter Roebuck article written in 1991 or so that was dug up and circulated on the net a couple of years ago. Roebuck named seven up and coming Australians who he thought would make it big - Slater, Warne, Gilchrist, Martyn, Bevan and a couple of other future Test players. Wonder how the three or four guys Greg Chappell has named in this article will shape up.
