I think we're missing the picture wrt to ydays 'drama'. I'm gonna ask a number of questions here and I'd like all forum members to consider the answer amongst themselves quietly. Are a batting lineup containing Strauss, Bell, Trott, Prior, Collingwood capable of equaling the highest run chase ever in the 40yr history of cricket and EASILY, the highest ever run in WC history ESP when far more illustrious batting lineups (RSA, AUS) have wilted chasing big totals in India? Have you ever seen a ODI in 40yr history where the captain never placed a 3rd man or orthodox fineleg, throughout the entire duration of the match and thus affording his seamers zero margin for error? Have you ever seen a huge ODI total chased down with such effortless rotation of strike and seemingly under non pressure? Can a batting lineup suddenly find such big total chasing capabilities when for the majority of their career they've been incapable of chasing far less daunting totals? Have you ever seen a Captain or even this captain persist with having his part timers (Yuvraj and Yusuf) complete their quota of overs when they themselves don't want to bowl and are getting battered to the point where the opposition have already sealed the deal wrt winning the match and then unleash his specialist bowlers when there is no hope of winning left. Why was it that fields that resembled that of the batting powerplay were not set far earlier and was instead spread out allowing two of the least accomplished batsmen out of the top five teams to milk the bowlers better than an experienced farmer does a buffalo? Is it possible for a captain to be that naive when he won the 2008 Nagpur test match with the Jardinesque setting a 7-2 offside field and asking his bowlers to bowl wide of offstump? Have you ever seen a wicketkeeper not appeal when a batsmen nicks behind on 2 separate occasions? I don't mind if ur not honest to me but please be honest to yourselves :)

LOL. So your "evidence" for matchfixing essentially boils down to.. England played better than we've seen them play in the recent past in ODIs. OMG how dare they???? :jawdrop:

Hey your state just has too much culture and heritage compared to my lowly state so I can really reply to ur posts on your level. Hey as long as N Srinivasan, MS Dhoni keep on rolling in IPL success for the Chennai Chuter Kings then I suppose who cares about the integrity of our national team.

Just because a team loses it's not appropriate to throw around accusations of match-fixing.
