There is no way to "prove" any one opinion better or worse than another but the poll in this thread seems to indicate that people are fairly evenly split on this issue.

At the very least, it means it's debatable.

Agree, for me assessing ODI cricketers comes under an entirely separate category. It's like Rugby & Rugby 7s IMO. Smacks of desperation trying to bring one-day cricket into the argument when we're assessing Test cricketers

All incredible Kallisballers imo. As of now, Tendulkar>Kallis=Ponting purely as a batsman.
