Pretty poor from the star - shock horror I know - but all Jimmy said was that Cook makes better use of what he's got. Bit of a nothing story.

As I said in the Colly tribute thread, don't confuse "talent" with "style". Succeeding despite having relatively poor strokeplay is a talent.

Cook was basically Anderson's batting coach for quite a while (I think they called him a batting "buddy"), so there's probably some playful ribbing there.

Jimmy's best form with the bat came when he was buddied with Cook tbh

You can really tell they were buddied when he comes out to night-watch too; they have remarkably similar techniques.

Should buddy them up as bowlers now.
