GIMH

Norwood's on Fire
So I think we normally do one of these at the start of the year, and if we remember we dig it at the end of the year and laugh at Prince EWS for getting everything wrong.

Feel free to make up your own categories, but I'm gonna ask for:

Top runscorers (Tests/ODIs)
Top wicket-takers (again, both)
Highest innings
Best haul
Test series of the year (completely subjective but why not)
Cricketer of the year (as above)
Test World #1 at the end of the year
World Cup Winner

Will think up mine and post back shortly, also gonna have a dig and see if we did one of these for 2010

GIMH

Norwood's on Fire
Well I couldn't really find one for last year, although I do have a Craigos thread open in another tab asking for who the surprise players will be, so if I've posted anything insightful in there it'll be getting dug any second now

Top runscorers (Tests/ODIs) Tests: Tendulkar (unless he retires after the WC, if so then Sehwag), ODI's: Depends on who plays the most random tournaments. Probably Jayawardene
Top wicket-takers (again, both) Tests: Anderson (I'd say Zaheer but he won't be fit for half the games), ODI's: McKay, due to a random ownage at the WC
Highest innings: Sehwag will score big on a deck, reckon he'll get a triple. West Indies are also touring India, so Gayle might be worth a shout too.
Best haul: Shakib will cash in somewhere, probably in Zimbabwe
Test series of the year (completely subjective but why not): England/India. Australia/India and England/Sri Lanka should be pretty good too.
Cricketer of the year (as above): Kallis, unless he pulls out early. If he does, then Steyn.
Test World #1 at the end of the year: Probably India still officially, but it wouldn't surprise me if England were the best in my eyes.
World Cup Winner: Tipping India here as well, Australia and Sri Lanka will also do good imo.

Australia to win the 5th test at Sydney and Michael Clarke to be lauded as the new Ian Chappell as he set three slips and two gullies. This tactic receives the complete backing of every commentator as innovative and being "the right mindset", despite no catches being taken there.

McCullum to have a very good year although probably just knee jerking to his double ton in the NZXI game but it's back up as he's just come off another 200.

Chapelli himself is brutal in pointing that out EVERY SINGLE TIME.
