Should Australia consider two spinners for the Sydney Test against Zim?

If the attack (if all fit) isn't Pigeon, Dizzy, Binga and MacGill (don't know his nickname ), I will be shocked.

Zimbabwe getting an excellent win against the Cricket Australia Chairman's XI.
CA XI 240 all out (49.5 Overs) (RJ Campbell 65, GB Hogg 39, DR Martyn 31) (HH Streak 4/33, AM Blignaut 3/47) Zimbabweans 241/3 (41.2 Overs) (SV Carlisle 89*, CB Wishart 63*, MA Vermeulen 61) (Williams 1/37 [9], Angel 1/45 [7], Funky Miller 0/69 [9], Hogg 0/31 [7]) |

If he isnt fit in time for the first test, brad williams is the likely replacement. |

McGrath needs a fitness test to see if his ankle has recovered from surgery. If he doesn't play then Bichel will replace him in Perth. Williams will be 12 th man. If McGrath is still not fit in Sydney then Hogg will play as a 2nd spinner.

The spinners still do well in Sydney but I'd bet that's mainly due to the extra bounce it has these days rather than the spin.

I'm with Corey here. Plus, take into account the fact that it is going to be a Test in October, it's more likely to be a greentop than a spinner-friendly deck.
2 spinners this early in the summer is needless. |
