    Australia - Watson
    Bangladesh - Mahmudullah
    England - Anderson
    India - Sreesanth
    Pakistan - Misbah
    New Zealand - Franklin
    South Africa - Kallis
    Sri Lanka - Samaraweera
    West Indies - Baugh
    Zimbabwe - Rainsford
    Ireland - Johnston

That's assuming we're only allowed to choose players who actually get picked. In many cases I'd have domestic players ahead.

    Australia - Marcus North
    Bangladesh - Mahmudullah
    England - Graeme Swann
    India - Rahul Dravid
    Pakistan - Amir
    New Zealand - James Franklin
    South Africa - Jacques Kallis
    Sri Lanka - Kumar Sangakkara
    West Indies - Shivnarine Chanderpaul
    Zimbabwe - Graeme Cremer
    Ireland - William Porterfield

In the case of the close ones I gave the not to the one I feel needs the loving most, for example Tamim ahead of Shakib and Mahmudullah, Dravid ahead of Sachin/Sehwag and Kallis ahead of ABDV/Steyn. Amla is high on the charts as well.

Edit : FU Uppercut for picking Tamim

Haha, you could call me somewhat of a batsman fanboy.

On reflection, I'd put Steyn up there for South Africa. Like Roach a lot also.

Tamim's a lot more popular than Mahmudullah I'd say.

Granted not all of these are current players, but most of them have played for their national teams reasonably recently.
