Nowhere in the article does it mention a return to NZL. So no. Appears to be a choice simply to pass the time until another contract becomes available in the CC.

Think it's a bit tight that he's not able to be classed as a domestic player on the basis he's married to a UK citizen given the swathes of carpetbagging yarps who had no problems, but that notwithstanding it has to be good news for NZ if he's playing cricket in his homeland.
