Bond or Steyn?

Days of Grace

International Captain
As much as I jizzed when Bond bowled, you gotta give to Steyn for the sheer fact that he stays on the ****ing park for more than 3 matches in a row.

clearly you gotta compare overall rather than peaks (or Graham gooch>bradman lol) so steyn>bond since bond played so few tests.

BUT in odi's bond is as good as joel garner. Higher average and economy but lower strike rate and more 4/5 wicket hauls. Also 1 more wicket lol.

A bold call that, given that Bond has been retired for a year.

edit: **** you Volty.
The same with Flintoff, retired but still a current player  Bond will be a current player untill 28/11/11 even if retired:blink: ask crickinfo, stats don't tell the whole story, it tells the ONLY story. Bond can still make a comeback

If maintaining a similar standard as Steyn for twice as long counts for anything, So does Donald.
Yep, almost put Donald's name in there as well. I still rate him clearly ahead of Steyn as things stand, but the gap isn't IMO what it is between Hadlee and Bond, and Steyn still has plenty of time and opportunity to reverse the rankings - something Bond will never do.

Ah no, Bond will not be making a comeback. Just because you've been caught with your knowledge pants down, don't try and and cover up your mistakes. It will leave you looking a little bit red-cheeked and red-faced.

Two awesome express bowlers of the last decade. This is not a "who is the better bowler" thread because you'd obviously have Steyn in your team for the simple reason that he can stay fit. Which one did you enjoy watching more though?
So many people in this thread didn't read this.:p
