Very true, although there is an extremely high chance of him being a permanent member of the OD team, considering his somewhat average bowling.Pollard should be kept well away from Test cricket, and it appears Pollard is doing his best to stay out of contention.
It annoys me how some can begrudge Pollard for the route he has taken. Pollard is being paid a fortune to play a format of the game he really excels in. If Pollard has little interest in representing the West Indies in Test cricket, he is well within his own right to skip first class cricket and to not tamper with his style of batting.
It will be interesting how Pollard focuses his career. He may well be the first cricketer of the Twenty20 generation to specialise in the one format of the game from the start of career until end.
Here's the issue....Pollard should be kept well away from Test cricket, and it appears Pollard is doing his best to stay out of contention.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement, Bravo is a dreadful Test player.Could work out to be a lesser version of Dwayne Bravo in Tests.
