Test standard is all relative, it is different for each country depending on how strong they are. Question is more whether he is in best 4 middle-order batsman for WI and answer is no.No doubt that he's not test standard, but neither are the rest of the WI squad.

WW would be spitting chips if he saw that.Probably a blessing that WW is banned. I get the feeling he would dislike that comment.
The West Indies best 6 batsmen are very good. The problem is, beyond that they have very little backup. Given the injury records of so many of the West Indies batsmen, much reliance is placed on some sub-standard backup cricketers to fill the gaps. What the West Indies team needs are proper supporting batsmen, not crash and bash players like Pollard and Samuels.
HahaKeiron Pollard has the potential to average something similar to what Glenn McGrath and Damien Martyn did in their careers.
Pollard should be able to average 46.37 with the ball and 21.64 with the bat.
This.Wouldn't have him if everyone was fit, but if he scores some FC runs then he could bat at six when Bravo is injured.
Actually I can remember thinking at the time that Sehwag looked like a Tendulkar clone for some reason and that he would make a decent-ish middle order batsman if one of the big four got injured. When the likes of Sehwag burst into the scene, many people said he wasn't really for tests but more of a limited overs specialist. Doesn't really look that way now, does it?
