Haha, where's the Champions League held next year? Horse might have bolted with snaring a couple of spinners guys. Won't work if it's in England or something.

Going off that article, the CD Stags minus Black Caps might be something like:

Peter Ingram
Jamie How (c)
Mathew Sinclair
Tim Weston
Kruger van Wyk (wk)
Kieran Noema-Barnett
Michael Yardy
Ian Blackwell
Brendon Diamanti
Michael Mason
Mitchell McClenaghan

Bits and pieces central with the two new additions. I think we could have done better with our signings, especially looking at ND and Wellington's signings. Sinclair and Weston isn't the strongest 3-4 in 20/20 either. I think that squad balance will bite us in the bum. Last years team was better imo.

The bowling is gun though. McClenaghan or whoever else is in that spot (Mason and Diamanti are safe you would think) having a bad day wouldn't be too much of an issue with the other five bowlers being misers.

If that's for FC, Yardy and Blackwell will both be batting higher I reckon. Two very curious signings though.

Howsie

International Captain
Ian Blackwell will bat a lot higher then at eight, he bats in the top four for Durham iirc. He can hit a long ball thats for sure.

Nah it's for the HRV Cup

Blackwell wouldn't be too bad down the order in T20 because he can hit it quite far and hard iirc

20/20, and I was going off averages. His FC record is gun but I just assumed he wasn't the greatest 20/20 batsman because he averages under 20 in the format.

If he bats in the top four for Durham then fair enough, he'll move up to 6. Can't see him displacing the top five bar Weston.

Wouldn't have Blackwell lower than 5 tbh.
He won't bat ahead of Sinclair or van Wyk. Weston isn't much of a hitter, more of an accumulator, so those two will scrap it out for number five imo (yes I am still revising my batting order:p).

EDIT: Blackwell actually has better returns than van Wyk, which is surprising. Very useful limited overs batsman in van Wyk.

Yardy can bat four then.

Will be great if Blackwell and Yardy stick around for some FC cricket. CD with the crazy long batting order once more ftw.

Well Yardy wont because he'll be playing one day cricket in Australia you'd have to think - then most likely the world cup.

How
Ingram
Sinclair
Blackwell
Yardy
Weston
Van Wyk
Bracewell
Milne
Mason
McClenaghan

That's looking pretty hard to beat. Discounting How's test record and Ingram mk I, not one batsman averages under 38. Yardy has the lowest average and he's still ****ing good. Only unknown is how the three young bowlers will go, but Milne and Bracewell look real talents and maybe McClenaghan will bring his NZ A form back.

If anyone is a liability we still have a pretty good reserve bench of bowling talent (admittely with very few games between them).

Not Terrible
Can't go past ND's picks though.

Wonder if Wright will play any FC? Wonder if Wellington will sign a third player.
