Roald Badenhorst must be close to getting a first class debut, with this current Central team he'd fit in quite nicely with his ability to bat in the top 6/7 and bowl some very useful medium pace.

I don't think he featured in our trial.
Hmmm, strange. He's young and had a very good season for Manawatu last year in the Hawke Cup. He scored some very handy runs and even picked up a 100 against a Hawke's Bay bowling attack that was close to first class level.

I remember the name but couldn't remember his Hawke Cup season. Cheers for that. He might not be the type of cricketer we're looking at. We have a whole pile of medium pace allrounders. Doug Bracewell, Kieran Noema-Barnett etc probably blocking him.

Based on last season, James de Terte is probably next cab off the rank for the top six.

Shuan Tait has apparently finally signed with Canterbury and will play for them during the HRV cup - he still needs to get a release from CA however.

The Broom brothers are going along way to helping Otago save this match, with the weather forecast for tommorow not looking so flash it'll be hard to get a result from here. ND's own fault really, both of them have already been dropped once each.

Gutted for Bracewell, although it was about time he did some justice to his batting talent.

How, Raval and Brodie probably all have the opportunity to push for his place if they perform well this season, but all three of them have gotten off to a bad start, so not really at the moment.

Not Terrible
Raval currently averages 20 away from Auckland. Auckland's flat ftw. (He has played equal amount of innings both home and away)
