Shows that Napier is actually a greentop. Sinclair is a god.

Broom should probably get a go at some stage. Who knows, even woodcock. The depressing thing on that list is that there is only one opener (McIntosh aside) who appears anywhere near the top. And Jeet Raval has derived most of his runs from a couple of massive scores and ridiculously flat tracks.

Not much to look at there with the bowlers either. Bates the only one really who could make any sort of claim for attention.

Sinclair did more in his first ten tests than Guptill and and Flynn have done combined.

His century against South Africa when we were well and truly up against it was his finest moment.

Wellington missing Gillespie, Burtt, Bowden and Tugaga for their first match. Oh boy. Tony Stewart is apparently rummaging around for school boys and club bowlers to fill the void.

So it will be Franklin, Edwards, Burns, Elliott, Woodcock/Houghton/Schaw? Maybe Boam in there?

Rhodes was playing in their trials; he might make an appearance. Or they could play that guy who just called himself "Sachin" in the trials

Pretty dire but a few schoolboys did take wickets in the trials.

Absolutely ridiculous. It's not just the first match either, both Gillespie and Burtt will be out until at least the HRV cup apparently - which is the first three rounds of the Plunket shield.

Gillespie might chuck it in soon if this keeps happening. No chance of an NZ recall and he can't stay on the park.

FFS I finally thought Wellington were coming together a bit. Will O'Brien be playing?

Maybe. Probably not in the first round but I bet Wellington sent him an S.O.S

O'Brien is the only Wellingtonian bowler I will tolerate doing well against us.

Will Franklin be playing? Or is it actually going to be only the players from that trial match I posted on cricsim? Will post it below for the benefit of any non CS members interested in Welly.
