if you like sehwag or gilchrist test are not for you?

just read an article on eion morgan and a test call up. now this is not whats in question whats in question is a comment by jackie thats says if you "admire sehwag and gilchrist then test may not be for you for you"

www.wisdencricketer.com Blog Archive Daniel Brigham: Test cricket needs Morgan’s magic

now i personally think that is a stupid comment seeing as both are/were very good test match players, and to say if you like them then test's are not for you i find really silly.

    what do you guys/girls think

Doesn't understand test cricket. Sehwag and Gilchrist are outstanding test players, this stereotype of "a test cricketer is not allowed to have an SR over 50" is a deeply misleading one.

Yep. Been a long tradition of fast-scoring batsmen in test cricket. Watching a player counter-attack when conditions are not idea is one of the best things about test cricket. Recent innings by Steve Smith was a great example. And you get to watch them for longer.

    Incey, yesterday.

Seriously tho, one of the great joys of test cricket is that so many different players in terms of temperament and skillset can excel in it.

Both Sehwag & especially Gilchrist have rock-solid techniques underneath the flashing blades. Sehwag's foot movement (or lack thereof) might ruffle a few feathers amongst the purists, but he plays very straight.

    - As featured in The Independent.

"as much a news event as an actual footballer, a worthy stop-start centre forward, but an all-time hyper-galactico when it comes to doing funny things with cars and hats, a player whose signing proves once again that the Premier League is still undoubtedly the best in the world when it comes to doing things with cars and hats."
