Sri Lanka up 1-0 already. I'm only semi-serious.. but I'm not entirely joking. There's no way they'd prepare a greentop for the second match of a thee-game series with the home team up 1-0 if they could avoid it.

They should be sensible about it I think. Even Fernando and Prasad did threated batsmen more than Mithun or Ishant, at least with aggression or by bowling a bouncer barrage. A touch of seam would have made a difference, and Mathews would have not been a passenger as well.

Haha those two Dilshan wickets are so unfair on Randiv. He deserved them IMO.

lol.. gotta love these games on flat tracks when all specialist bowlers look toothless and suddenly a part timer comes on and gets two in no time.

Same happened with Sehwag in Delhi in 2008 when the Aussies came to India.

Don't be hating on Sehwag's bowling; it's gun.

I would say that the groundsman who prepared this pitch and the Sri Lankan Cricket Board should be severely punished for preparing such a terrible Test Match wicket. IF matches can be called off, and groundsmen/boards censured for preparing pitches that are "Unsuitable to bat on", surely pitches that are plainly unsuitable to bowl on should also be punished...possibly even more so as the cricket played in this match and others of it's type would send Napoleon Bonaparte into deep sleep. Obviously both captains will say afterwards that it was a "belter" of a pitch though.

On another note, Tillekeratne Dilshan WAG. 3 for 47 on this pitch a very nice effort. Lovely catch to get rid of Dhoni as well.

The difference being, on pitches that are unsuitable to bat on, playing can actually be dangerous.
This is just boring. Nobody's at risk though.

Would argue that the paying customers and the fielding Sri Lankans are at risk of dying from boredom actually.

How about bowling for long spells becoming dangerous for bowlers, and spectators dying because of the borefest

I know the chances of a win are tiny, but India should have declared instead of letting their tailenders block out overs. It's obviously still a road but if Sri Lanka do collapse then whether you chase 200 or 250 doesn't matter too much, but if you've got 200 in 15 overs instead of 250 in 35 overs then it does matter.
