Haha, never too pleasant to be stumped for 99, but of course we'd all been praising him if he hit it into the stands? Did you see it? Am assuming he was charging down the track yeah ?

Nope.. that is what makes this worse. that I m not watching the game..

But yeah, he has always been one who plays that way. My surprise is more at the fact that he missed it, tbh. Must have been either been a pretty special delivery to beat him like that or a really silly mindless heave..

Was definitely expecting 0/200, not this.

I'm not watching this, just the crincinfo comms. What are the SL spinners doing that the Indian ones didn't?

What you mean you have never heard of him? has played few ODIs now.. anyhow tall classical finger spinner.. its been a pleasure watching this spell.. Sehwag did heave at it but also must credit the bowler for tossing it up since it was his 1st delivery for the day.

I am watching it and Randiv is getting drift, turn and bounce.. Mendis has been very accurate, the lankan faster bowlers bowled to a plan of restriction and the wickets were the fruits of their labour

Watched the highlights of the first 2 days and whilst it is obviously a very good batting wicket, it was hard to tell just how good as, from what I saw, the Indian bowlers were just rolling their arm over

Scoreboard pressure. Pretty textbook on subcontinental tracks, bat the other side out of the game and keep plugging away.

Hey look at what discipline and some half decent bowlers can do! Not fit for Test cricket no chance of a result etc. etc. etc.
    Direbirds FTW!

He came right out of the crease to meet the ball. Sehwag didn't expect the top spinner that went straight on as the first ball.
Diuretics are used to look good at TV shows

I played for 20 years in the Lankan team, I did not have any problems as a Tamil - Muralidaran

This is the way it is now even in the 21st century with Internet. That's why we always expect "WTF who is that?" most of the time when we speak about our players of 90s. Randiv possibly the best ODI spinner ATM behind Vettori and Harbhajan.
