Do some countries view cricket like horse racing ?

From what I've read, and I could be wrong, that the game historically, and I mean early 1800s, flourished due to gamblers wanting to improve the team they were wagering on. Always thought it was interesting.

Yes, both sports adopt the horses for courses mantality.

I believe the people of Guam (Guamese) view cricket exactly like horse racing.
