If there ever was cherry picking of stats, it was this one. what a ridiculous thread and IMO one of the worst posters ever on CW.

I'm so tired of this sort of attempt to slice players' stats in every imaginable way. And I'm so tired of these sort of sterile debates about who is and isn't a "great" player.

And, please, let's get real. If your statistical approach leads you to conclude that Greg Chappell isn't a great player, you need to revise either your statistical approach or your definition of a great player.

These were the best bowlers of his era. This is not cherry picking. And Gavaskar, Border,Richards, Amarnath, Clive lyod scored runs against these attack.8-)

Yeah, this thread isn't going anywhere fast.

Thirdman, there's nothing wrong with a bit of debate, however the link in your original post, and the conclusions you've drawn from it, are extremely misleading. As it is, this thread looks like a bad effort to bait Australian posters.

In future, please put a bit more thought into the original post in your thread, so that you can lead any discussion you might have about Chappell or any other player in a more positive direction.
