As mentioned earlier Arthur Morris and Saeed Anwar would be better choices as openers than Stewart or Attapattu.

I would take Arthur Morris over Mark Taylor. I would also go for McCabe, May, Mahela Jayawardena or Martin Crowe over Mark Waugh.
