Yeah Warne having a year off and not playing ODIs anymore definitely refreshed him and allowed his greatness to continue into older age.

One of the very few debates on here where there are quite a few very strong possibilities, yeah? First name that came into my mind was Gooch too but any of Hadlee/Imran/Braddles and a few others are strong shouts.

What was Grimmet's actual record post the age of 35? Remember someone saying that he did a lot of his work when older.

Better stat would be to consider stats after 15 seasons of international cricket than the age it self.

Not a best ever, but John Wright went from average to very good post age 35.

Decent first 63 Tests until turning 35. Scoring 3635 runs @ 33.34 with 7 centuries.

Turning 35, proceeded to strike 1699 runs @ 53.09 with 5 centuries in a pretty tough era for batting.
