Not sure if moving to Melbourne would enhance the career prospects of Theo and Matt. Move to Tasmania if you want a state gig as a batsman.
Not exactly off-season news, but annoyed I missed the Melbourne Premier Cricket final. Looks like Dale was in great form, does he still knock the bails off in delivery stride? |

Fair call noble.
Thread is what anyone wants. Heard dale kittled stkilda. I will just post rumours whether they true, rumour or not. On matt johnston only played a handful of games for the warriors in 3/4 years, may undertand his impatience. I am just hoping blues keep most their squad. |

On tassie the mercury ays travis birt likely to replace dan marsh in the first class side, but concede they are on a hunt for an opener, maybe they will look at nick kruger again who looks likely to lose his contract.

I'm sorry, but anyone who thinks Gayle is a liability in Limited Overs cricket of any kind needs their head examining. I know he is not much liked on this board and with good reason, but he is an outstanding T20 batsman.

Without wanting to tread on the toes of any mod's, can we please, please not go down this chris gayle / west indies path in this thread? There is enough threads already hijacked by this debate. This thread is always a very enjoyable one for aussie domestic followers of a winter and i'd hate to see it ruined. I know the bait was there, but sometimes we have to be clever enough not to take it...

Dale bowled 38 overs, 6/43 against St. Kilda, including the wickets of Quiney and Rummans. He's about 40 now, and his economy rate for the season was 2.06, as well as taking 42 wickets. He's still got it. |

Can I just say on Gayle, I was fortunate to be at the WACA when he made his debut and he looked anything but a liability when compared to his team-mates that night IMO.

I must confess I sometimes feel the need to defend Gayle on this board because he gets unfair stick and there are many laughable comments about him from people such as Streetwise. Anyway, that's all I'll say on the subject. I hope WA perform a hell of a lot better than last year that's for sure. |
