Well Done Bangladesh (Full Members vs Associates)

Scotland, Netherlands line up Bangladesh ODIs | Scotland Cricket News | Cricinfo.com

So Bangladesh have 2 ODIs vs Ireland, and a game each vs Scotland and Holland on their tour of England.

Good to see, IMO more full members should be doing this, particularly when they come to England, given the close proximity of 3 of the leading Associates.

It'll be interesting to see what sort of turnout the ODIs in Glasgow get, as Clydesdale Cricket Club is right in the centre of an area with a significant community which is 3rd generation Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi.

As I've said in the past, I'd have liked Cricket Scotland, with the backing of the Scottish Government, to try and entice Pakistan to play some of their "home" ODIs in Glasgow.

NZ played Ireland last English tour we had, when James Marshall scored 160 odd.

They were due to play Pakistan in Glasgow, which got washed out.

Think they played Scotland as well, come to think of it. Either thrashed us or were on the verge of doing so before rain intervened.

Point is, no-one has committed to playing the associates so much in one tour AFAIK.

What'll be interesting to see is whether Scotland-vs-Bangladesh is more or less one-sided than England-vs-Bangladesh.

That was in Holland in a completely unwanted tag-on on the end of their 2006 tour of England.

In Bangladesh, more one-sided. In the UK, probably about the same.

The recent series was hardly ridiculously one-sided. Bangladesh really should have won the second ODI.

Given that both are being played in the UK, I'd hope it was clear I meant the latter.
