GTFO. I don't care for the WInter Olympics but the Allan Border medal is alwasy cringeworthy television.

Channel 9 did the right thing showing the Olympics live and having a delayed telecast of the AB Medal.

Edit: yeah, agree with Jono here, always cringeworthy, then again most awards ceremonies are. Am looking forward to seeing Bill Lawry and Garth get their just rewards wth induction to the hall of fame.

It's actually just that Fox Sports have the rights to broadcast it live, and Nine have to show a delayed telecast at 12.30am. Winter Olympics aren't even on right now; coverage only starts at 9.30 tonight for that.

Still very irritating. Don't think they've got live updates on the Fox Sports website either, which they had for the Brownlow.

They did, normally they show the AB Medal but with the likelihood of him jumping up and down like a girl when he wins it, they figured they didn't want that on the air live.

Johnson's been rubbish in ODIs and nearly got dropped from the Test side in England, certainly doesn't deserve the AB medal. There's no case for anyone to get it besides Watson.

IMHO, all networks should have a special breaking news bulletin as soon as he wins. It's like the moon landing, only bigger.
