Which team is stronger at home, India or Australia?

At the moment Australia, because they're producing pitches that their bowlers can use, and use better than the opposition. As I've said a couple of times in the SA-Ind thread, India needs to get back to those basics. Right now they're throwing away home field advantage.
Where?

Gabba - every now and again

WACA - flat

Adelaide - ridiculously flat

Hobart - see Adelaide

MCG - bowlers from all over can take advantage

SCG - see above

IMO, Oz has actually given away their home advantage

Nah, Australian pitches suit fast bowling more than Indian pitches suit spin bowling these days. While Australia may have given up some of that advantage, I don't think it's to the extent of a lot of Indian pitches. With India's bowling resources, they should be going back to basics to win at home. Spinning pitches that do their best to neutralize the impact of fast bowlers.

And on the whole, Australia has more bowling depth in the pace department than India has in either the pace or spin department. So there's not as big a compensation needed.
