*Official* India in Bangladesh

The Indians have picked a rather strong team, than one with lots of new faces or non-regulars. The omission of Badrinath was needless, though. While it's only two Tests and Badri doesn't need to prove himself at level one, two Test caps wouldn't be a bad idea at all. That apart, this looks like a team that will win two games, so let's hope that happens.

The interesting selection is that of Sudeep Tyagi- maybe he can get a Test cap; he looked good in his debut ODI, nasty pitch notwithstanding.

Utterly disagree with his selection. He has not done well in his limited chances this year for UP in the Ranji Trophy, he is still young to First Class cricket and is still living off his strong debut season. Why can the selectors not look past a single year before assessing a player? He may have some pace, but he has not put in the hard yards on flat pitches, this year, that Irfan Pathan has, that RP Singh has (even though he has not been successful, he has got overs under his belt).and that Vinay Kumar has. This delayed reaction from Indian selectors to realise when a player who has performed well over a few years is in good form (rather than waiting to pick a player who debuted strongly in First Class cricket but has since fizzled out) costs us dearly.

Bangladesh squad
Shakib Al Hasan (capt), Mushfiqur Rahim (vice-capt/wk), Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Junaid Siddique, Mohammad Ashraful, Raqibul Hasan, Mahmudullah, Shahriar Nafees, Shahadat Hossain, Rubel Hossain, Enamul Haque jnr, Mahbubul Alam, Shafiul Islam.

Great to see Nafees back in the team, pretty sure this will mean Siddique will be dropped. Bangladesh's batting is starting to look pretty decent, the bowling could be a problem.

By what standard? It's not as bad as it has been in the past, sure, but it's still worse than every other Test team. New Zealand's batting could quite justifiably be described as terrible and it's worse than that, so "pretty decent" is a bit of an overstatement.

Kapali is a big missing name. Looks like he has not performed well in domestic level
