If CSK sign Bond and Vignesh, it would be an awesome eleven, close to unbeatable.

Matthew Hayden
Abhinav Mukund
Suresh Raina
Michael Hussey
MS Dhoni
Andrew Flintoff
Ganapathy Vignesh
Ravichandra Ashwin
Lakshmipathi Balaji
Sudeep Tyagi
Shane Bond

Balaji is the only weak link in the side. Tyagi could go either way depending on the day. This year's tournament should be good fun. A lot of competition will be there for sure with the influx of a lot of gun players.

BTW what exactly has happened to the ICL? Is it completely dead or are they planning another tournament?

Flintoff the weak link, really.

Hope CSK sign Ganapathy Vignesh. Was sensational in the ICL games.
Yes, he'll be a great buy. I foresee none of the franchises signing him up, but if they do take a gamble on him, I think that he'll do well. His bowling may go around the park though, he seemed on the lighter side of 125kph in the ICL which may pass as fast medium there but is pretty slow indeed for the IPL. He really is a monster batsman though and I hope he can make the step up against the higher standard of bowling, because it'll be good to watch.

Albie Morkel can replace him in the eleven if he goes really bad. And I forgot about Badrinath.

A few of the NZers are being a bit ambitious in going for a contract. I can really only see Guptill and Bond being picked up.

Bond being picked up by CSK would be the best thing ever. I don't think Ntini would be picked up the next auction.

Cairns may be worth a go, has a quality slower ball and I'm sure he could still give it a whack. Been playing loads of T20 in the ICL and so will be well versed in the format too.

I think the ICL is dead sadly, there were rumours going around about players not being paid and the ICL itself being almost bankrupt. Giving the players a free ticket back was a masterstroke really in killing the rival league

Some very optimistic applications, no doubt triggered by huge dollar-signs in the eyes... Panesar, Afzaal, McGrath, Price have absolutely no chance. The Canadians too (who is Khurram Chohan?). And half the Kiwis and Sri Lankans on there.

I'd only really consider Aamer, Afridi, Ajmal, Umar Akmal, Mohammad Asif, Parnell, Bond, Pollard, Sarwan, Shakib, Roach. Plus any of the Aussies.

I might also have a look at Kandamby, Goodwin, Guptil, Cairns, Foster (would probably be a bit of a luxury though). But even then, I can't see any of those doing anything but warm a bench in Hyderabad for a month and a half.

Surely you didn't mean Glen McGrath? :-O

Morgan, Hughes and Kemp to get a look in. And you could do a lot worse than Price in the spin stocks.

Craig McMillan might have a go. He's still young (play tests you **** :p) and is back playing for Canterbury.

If Cairns wants an IPL contract, I wonder if he'll try get a CL berth by playing for Canterbury?

McMillan hasn't even tossed his name in.

Brendon Diamanti has no chance!

Out of the Aussies, I can't see Manou getting a team, I doubt Ben Laughlin or Ashley Noffke will get a game.

Haddin and McKay would be the best Aussie choices, Hughes and Voges wouldn't be too bad either.

I think Cosgrove, Christian, Steve Smith and Rimmington should have registered.

Wait so there's no Clarke again? He can't use the reasoning that he's doing it to cement his position in the Australian team now. If anything, Australia needs him to have more experience in T20 if he's going to be captaining the naitonal side.

lol@80% of those nominees.
