Lol @ Waqar & Crowe kissing each others butt in the comm box. Waqar's just finished telling Crowe that he found him the hardest batsman to dismiss.
Reckon he meant it as well. Loved the camera catching how akward it was inside the box.

Yeah the biggest difference between how Ryder Guptill and Fulton have played at this level is that Ryder and Guptill move forward and are willing to attack the bowlers. Fulton doesn't seem to have the confidence yet to attack at international level, which is a shame because he is a monster of a man.
Back in 2006/2007 in ODIs he was bloody good. People talk about Styris and the emergence of Taylor, when Astle and Fleming were in horrible form it was Taylor and Fulton ressurrecting the innings, then at the world cup Styris's partner was Fulton, who batted all over the order wherever he was needed.

What happened? :(

all 3 fast bowlers had a dropped catch shows the extra struggle that a Pakistani seamer goes through
Pakistan's catching has been woeful but their close fielding has improved out of sight. Interesting how far one aspect of fielding has improved while another remains relatively poor.

Lost form and his confidence and was chucked out of the team quite unfairly.

Is there any other batting all rounder in the country we could have played at 6 instead of Elliot. I thought he was a good choice until I found out they won't be bowling him.
It just seems like with Bond being fragile and Vettori nursing an injury or two - that having a part timer who can get through 10 overs a day in the side would be helpful.
Most of the other allrounders are very young so probably no. We could have gone with Vettori at six and picked a bowling allrounder or alternatively another specialist batsman.

Vettori and Mccullum at 7&8 could be the difference maker in this series hope I am wrong though.

Crowe does have quite the reputation amongst the great bowlers doesn't he? Wonder if his record would have been better if he had better support.
His record is amazing as it is for a player from his era. People often mis-read Crowe's record because they compare it with the zillion players to average 50+ in the last 10-15 years.

If you get a chance, do a cricinfo filter of all batsman for the period between Jan 1985 - Dec 1994 and I think you'll find he performed as well as any other batsman in the world in that 10 year block.

Thank god for the review system. I was surprised an umpire of Taufel's class gave that out because I picked that hit him outside the line of off from the naked eye tbh

bowled better then the results showed ofcouse the feilding was appaling and Guptill and Taylor were supperb early on but Asif, Amir and even gul deserved better figures.
