Yes - presumably replacing opening batsman, middle order batsman, pacer or spinner, if necessary.

I agree. Badrinath must get a chance in a Test match at home. If they dont do it this season he might as well say a Test career goodbye. He will be 30 next August.

He is already old for a debut (by Indian standards) and but for Rohit Sharma being in poor form he may have missed out on the squad as well.

About time to send out a message to Bhajji that he is not indispensable. Should drop him and should play both Ojha and Mishra and see how it goes. Lets face it, he has been mediocre for far too long in international cricket. If he is at his best, he will just keep taking wickets, which he is not doing now.

In sub continent with strong Indian batting lineup India should always go in with 5 bowlers and 5 specialist batsmen with Dhoni at 6.

In another 2 years I think Praveen Kumar will take that spot. Although I must admit Praveen is much worse fielder at 21 yrs.

It will be a really cloe series, with Indians holding the edge in the shorter formats of the game.

India play no more Tests after this until the end of 2010 (except 2 Tests in Bangladesh in January). Such a disgrace. And very highly annoying. Why can't we have a season like England? How a side like India, where everyone would play you if you asked, goes almost a whole year without Tests is beyond me.

It's depressing to see the lack of interest about this series. FFS, #2 adn #3 in test rankings are meeting!

Interest will kick off when the series begins.

Indeed. Murali's performance (although it could argued he is passed his ultimate peak) could egnite a new chapter in the Warne v Murali debate. This series is on SKY over here right?.
