Adam Gilchrist explained it though. Anyway, there's no way that the blame should be on Ramdin there. It's not like he left Gayle with a difficult chance. It was straightforward and he got both hands around it.
Indeed.

Didn't ear Gilly tbh.

See what I did there?

He'd be fuming if he saw it.

He said that because the ball was angling in, Ramdin's initial movement was likely to his left in anticipation. And with that slight weight shift he didn't have time to dive/move to his right to take the catch. That is, by the time he adjusted, the ball was past him. Gilchrist said it happened to him a fair bit, and it's something Healy never did, but that always plagued him.

Or something of the sort.

Gavin Tonge was pretty impressive in the CT but you'd think he might pick up abit more pace if he used his front arm more.

Alderman going off at why Roach was bowling into the wind.

Will everyone's Christmas come early with a Watto ton today?

If Ravi Rampaul is a Test quality seamer then Don Bradman is the 8th greatest cricketer of all time.

Harsh that. Still raw & has some decent ability IMO. Although when Taylor & Edwards returns for WI he is unlikely to be a first team player.

Better seamer than pretty much any West Indian outside of Taylor, Edwards, Roach right now though. He's certainly not the only West Indian international who's not international standard either. Work with what you have.

Geez, would the WI like to put a ball in Watto's half? For a laff.

Predictable, though; young quicks let loose on the WACA try to pepper the batters = fast run-rate.

I see your point, but I just think with him there isn't anything to work with. Touch above medium pace, wayward, inconsistent line and lengths and isn't partiuclarly fit. Would prefer a bowler like Pascal to be in the squad to be honest - there is some raw materials to work with there.

Rampaul is a poor man's Collymore IMO.
