Can Some one come up with a list of hundreds that ponting scored in a match winning cause ever since Warne and McGrath retired and then this discussion could be taken to a different plane.

If not, I will dig that up later. I need to catch a flight now.

Have Australia won any tests since then? Could be a bit tricky.

Also, someone come up with a list of hundreds made by Sachin in a match where he also bowled an over on an inclemently cool Tuesday.

    Outside the subcontinent.

Still probably more likely to find that then a Ponting ton nowadays.

How many match winning hundreds did Tendulkar make before India got some seamers who only got the ball to bounce once?

You can score a squillion, but if you don't take 20 wickets it won't be a match winning knock.

    This.
Though, it's not just about seamers. Even when India had chances to win the game just through batting in fourth inning, more often then not, they didn't deliver.
So it's also the improvement in the batting.

I think his last Test hundred at Cape Town actually fulfills those criteria. Came on a Tuesday IIRC, and he bowled a few overs (even picked up a wicket) in that game.

No idea about the weather though.
