Consistent batsman all time?

Other then Bradman who is the most consistent batsmen of all time? By consistent i mean scoring more then 30 in ODI's on a regular basis and more then 40 in tests on a regular basis?

Like Lara for example was not consistent despite being one of the best batsmen.

miandad and sutcliffe were very consistent over long test careers. javed never averaged below 50 and herbert always averaged above 60 from their first innings till last.

Both good shouts, though Javed had quite a bad slump toward the end of his career.

Ken Barrington is another who seems to have been a supremely consistent runmaker, as was AB.

For his era, Clem Hill could also claim to have been a very consistent accumulator of runs once he settle down after a poor start to his career.

A Consistency index for batsmen, dated January 30 2009.
Min 5000runs, Jack Hobbs edged out Don Bradman by a fraction.
For the top 8 run scorers,
Ponting leads Gavaskar and Border.
