Richard, would you want every English player in his 30's who has never played for England "A" or higher to retire?

Umm, no, why?

I want good, county-standard players to continue playing for as long as they are good players and continue to enjoy it.

BTW thanks dav.

Oliver Newby coming over to play for Northcote.
Ben Howell, a young player @ Hampshire, is coming over to play with us at Camberwell. Has been over to Perth the last few years and done reasonably well over there. Don't think he's played a game with Hampshire though. Believe his parents are living in Australia, hence why he comes over here most years.

No, not coming back this year.

Cross not allowed back due to his criminal record. Daylight robbery that he got the Ryder Medal last year.

Lol, it's done like the Brownlow isn't it? Seem to remember he had a couple of performances which would have been BOG and not much else. Wasn't exactly crap though.

Anyway seems like Smith might be going to Perth to play this off season, maybe the Horton effect.

Also rumoured Mal Loye will return to Northants next season

Oh and apparently we are heavily chasing Stephen Moore. Would welcome that, Moore & Horton would be a very good opening partnership.

And lol at the headline from Lancs website about next years new comp

No has not played yet, thought he might get a chance oppening when Carberry got injured but don't think he had a very good seson for the second XI and there are quite a few young players ahead of him at the moment.

I hope we're going to sign an experienced replacement if this is true

After 20/20 it's the logical step.

Each umpire gives a 3-2-1, so you can get a maximum of six votes. He did well in some washouts, where only one week was played so he got votes for SFA.

I hope they're not going to call them the England and Wales Recreational Game XI. Minor Counties XI will do nicely, thankyou.
