Nothing is ever likely to come close to the attention '05 got, but it's still a fairly valid comparison. There shouldn't be such a ridiculous chasm in the popularity of cricket during two successive successful Ashes campaigns.

It works both ways too, you'd think people would be more worked up about this series given how good that one was.

Yeah, it's a shame BBC don't fancy at least highlights as they are the best positioned to give it some decent airtime, still at least they show decent sports like NFL
NFL rules. It's just a shame the beeb's coverage is godawful, with that beanpole 'not a specialist in any sport' bloke making an idiot of himself.

Until cricket comes back to terrestrial tv it will never capture the public imagination in the manner of 05, but even if every person in the country was physically forced to watch a home series against bangladesh in May I'm pretty sure that still no one would be interested. Here's hoping that at least Shakib can do something special, mind his chances of turning it in May at Old Trafford are fairly grim.

Tbh, last time there was a May test at OT the ball turned square.

This changes my plans for next year, might go to the OT Test V bangas, ODI V Aus and then Lord's Test V Pak. If i can afford it.
