Saturday Special - Most Memorable Last Ball Wins(Donít Miss this one!)

    Hereís The scenario:

Last Ball Coming up. It is a do or die for both teams.

Can you Imagine the Excitement, Thrill, Tension that exists in such a situation?
It could be a recognized batsman or a tailender facing the might of the best opposition bowler.

    What can happen?

    Runs required.

One needed : Not a difficult thing . If the batsman fails to score the match is still a tie.

Two needed : Still not a difficult thing .Strive for a boundary and go for the runs .If a boundary is made, well and good . If two runs made. The job is done.

Three needed : Running three is difficult. The best option is to strive for a boundary.
Even if two runs is made. It is still a tie as scores would be leveled.

Four Needed : A boundary. Tough. Still doable. It is always good to have the better batsman facing the last ball as the probability is better for him to score a boundary as he would be facing the best opposition bowler.

Five Needed. You cannot run five unless their is a misfield.Difficult situation. Come what may. Go for a six.

Six needed: Really a tough call. The odds are against the Batsman. Hoping against Hope .Hoping for a Miracle to happen. But Miracles do happen.

So, what has been the most memorable last ball wins in One day cricket?

Their has been quite a few:

Here are five that I consider memorable ones.

    1 Javed Miandad's Famous SIXER @ Sharjah.

    Link : NA

Readers . Now it is your turn. I am sure their are many more that has not been included here.

So What are your (1- 5) choices ? please include if you can any links to those exciting and thrilling moments?

    Who is next?

    Good luck to everyone!

Loved Michael Bevan's last ball 4 so much that it's definitely the best for mine.

I remember lance Klusnar hit a four of the last ball against New Zealand when South Africa need 4 runs to win.. this one goes unnotice because it was Klusnar who hit the shot.. and other reason was probably because new zealand had lost the series 4-0 already..

How is this a "Saturday Special"? And what's all this "good luck to everyone"?
Is there a special Saturday prize of a do-it-yourself brain surgery kit with matching curtains up for grabs?

Yeah, was amazing, oddly Eddies two biggest achievements were with the bat, and if the (cliche alert) incident you're referring to had been a big-name batsman it would be talked of for years. Back then Lords finals had massive kudos.

Easily Chanderpaul's. To get 10 off 2 is ridiculously tough, and he did it.

20:20, I know. But Andre Adams' 10 off one ball to win a 20:20 for Auckland vs. Northern Districts was pretty funny. Poor old Graeme Aldridge.

Haha was going to bring that up actually after reading the first post of the topic - what a bizarre finish to a match, from effectively certain victory to defeat for ND.

    Wasn't it 12?

2 for the no-ball plus the four and then 6

Seem to remember Trevor Chappell bowling us to a sensational win over New Zealand a few years back.
